After breakfast, it was time to try to burn off the incredible caloric intake that had occurred over the past 24hrs. I built up the bikes, and Jean and I had to "zip to town," to get to the ATM. Zipping to town was only about 13 miles (round trip) as the crow flies, but also included about 2000ft of climbing.
The clouds were a little threatening at times... |
Photos just can't show how steep the hills were. Our car barely made it up some of these... |
With Euros in hand, we got back to Tapa Luz in time to shower and chill before another gastronomical extravaganza.
Luc cooked up another amazing dinner, this time with chicken stuffed with crab with an aioli drizzle for an appetizer, an incredible pea soup (NOTHING like pea soup in a can), then the main course, grilled fish stuffed with spinach with a carrot sauce. YUM! Desert was home made coffee ice cream... sigh... no weight loss on this trip!
We got to sleep, and this time, didn't sleep the next day away.
