Zion--Day 3

Day Three started with some breakfast--always a good way to start the day, followed by a short hike up to Canyon Overlook. Canyon Overlook trail overlooks the canyon. Crazy, huh? We looked over the canyon and then took the bikes out for a spin… See more...

We did NOT bring our trusty travel bikes. This was a fairly short trip, and with access to good rentals, it just seemed easier to grab some bikes from Zion Cycles. Jean and I each got 29'er Trek Rumblefish Elites. Heavy, but monsters at eating up the trails. But… we did some riding on the road, and, well…

Let's just say we didn't blaze any Strava records. But Strava is for nerds. We rode out to the far end of the park, to the Temple of Sinawava. Of course, we took some pics along the way…

After our ride, we hooked back up with Mike and Jo to go back to Canyon Overlook, to once again, overlook the canyon, and then went for a drive where we spotted some big horn sheep. I really would have liked a bigger telephoto lens for the camera, but alas, the 105 would have to do…

Anyway, another day was in the bag!
